The investigation into Littlejohn's death revealed that the shooting was gang-related. Christopher Nathaniel Kenney, also known by his rap name "Baby Coke," was identified as a primary suspect. Court documents indicated that Kenney's DNA was found on shell casings at the scene, linking him to the crime. Further developments in the case led to the arrest of a second suspect, Tyrell Cheadle, in November 2024. Cheadle, 29, was charged with murder, attempted murder, conspiracy, and participation in a criminal street gang. Both Kenney and Cheadle were alleged to have conspired to carry out the shooting, targeting Littlejohn and the other victims as part of a gang-related feud. The motive behind the shooting was believed to be related to gang rivalry, with Kenney seeking recognition within his gang for the killing.
