Man killed in Family Dollar parking lot
In the spring of 2011, the life of Harold Augustus, III, a 31-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short in a violent encounter in New Orleans. On the evening of Wednesday, May 18, 2011, Augustus was in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store located at 4300 Woodland Drive. It was there, shortly before 8:00 p.m., that he was approached by an unidentified man.
