Victor McElhaney, a 21-year-old jazz student at the University of Southern California (USC), was tragically shot and killed on March 10, 2019, in Los Angeles, California. McElhaney, the son of Oakland City Councilwoman Lynette Gibson McElhaney, was with a group of friends near Adams Boulevard and Maple Avenue when they were approached by three or four men in their 20s.
