In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in August 2020, a young life was tragically cut short in Bayou Goula, a community near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jaion Knight, a 19-year-old female, was shot and killed on August 19, 2020. She was in the company of her boyfriend, Deandre Brown, sitting in a parked car in her grandmother's driveway when the tranquil evening was shattered by gunfire.
