Death by Force

Montaser Zarrouq, age 32, was shot and killed on July 11, 2012, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was found in front of an apartment complex on Sherwood Forest Boulevard, an area known locally as "The Cut." The shooting occurred in broad daylight, shortly after 11 a.m., and witnesses reported hearing between eight and ten shots fired. At the time of the incident, Baton Rouge Police Department officers were patrolling nearby and rushed to the scene, but Zarrouq was already fatally wounded.
