Gustavo Fuentes Ponce, a 29-year-old resident of Oakland, California, was tragically shot and killed on May 15, 2019. The incident occurred around 3:06 a.m. in the 2200 block of East 17th Street, near Garfield Elementary School in East Oakland. Ponce was pronounced dead at the scene.
