On June 8, 2019, Juan Carlos Gracia, a 43-year-old resident of Bakersfield, California, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The Bakersfield Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 1500 block of Oregon Street in East Bakersfield. Upon arrival, officers found Gracia unresponsive at the scene.
