Mitchell Lee Farley, a white male, age 38, was found dead on the night of July 12, 2025, after deputies were called to the 800 block of Beardsley Avenue in Oildale, just north of Bakersfield. Responders initially arrived for a report of a man with trauma around 8 p.m., and the Kern County Coroner later determined that the 38-year-old man, identified as Mitchell Lee Farley of Bakersfield, had been shot and died at the scene.
