On November 28, 2011, Derrick DeJuan "Dee" Williams, a 33-year-old African American man from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was fatally shot. The incident occurred while he was working outside a house, leading to his death at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. Williams was a dedicated family man and community member, having attended Tara High School, James Frazier Barber School, and ITT Technical College.
