Jaime Antonio Monjaraz, a 23-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs, California, tragically lost his life on October 4, 2019. The incident occurred in Cathedral City, where Monjaraz was fatally shot around 11:15 p.m. on Navajo Trail. Despite being rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries later that night. The Cathedral City Police Department identified Monjaraz as the victim shortly after the incident, leaving his family and community in deep mourning.
