Brandon Richard Compton, aged 49, tragically lost his life on March 21, 2020, in Bakersfield, California. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Dennison Lane, near Foothill High School. According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the scene just after 10 a.m. and found Compton suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kern County Coroner's Office later ruled his death a homicide.
