A weekend of violence in Baton Rouge culminated in the death of 23-year-old Danjae Parker in May of 2012. Parker was seated in a vehicle when he was tragically shot in the head. Alongside him, the driver of the car also sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body but survived the ordeal.
Following the shooting, Parker was rushed to a local hospital where he was placed on life support. Despite medical efforts, his injuries proved to be too severe.
The decision was made to remove him from life support, and he passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. At the time, the Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed that the shooting was under investigation. However, details regarding a motive, any potential suspects, or arrests in the case have not been made publicly available in the years since the incident occurred.
