Jose Gamiz De Leon, a 26-year-old resident of Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, tragically lost his life on April 26, 2020, in a drive-by shooting in Panorama City. The incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. on Blythe Street, where De Leon was sitting in his vehicle when two cars, a blue PT Cruiser and a tan Cadillac, approached. An occupant of the PT Cruiser fired multiple rounds from a handgun, striking De Leon. Despite being rushed to the hospital by a friend, he succumbed to his injuries.
