Montrell Jones, age 26, was tragically killed on July 22, 2012, in New Orleans, Louisiana. His death occurred during a period of high violence in the city, with many homicides recorded that year. According to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), Montrell was shot in a neighborhood plagued by gun-related violence. He succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
