On a late Wednesday afternoon in New Orleans, the life of 18-year-old Dionte Jerell Lewis was tragically cut short. On August 22, 2012, at approximately 5 p.m., Lewis was fatally shot in the 2800 block of Magnolia Street, just outside the Harmony Oaks Apartments. The male victim sustained gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
