Christian Zarate Rodriguez, a 24-year-old resident of San Jose, California, tragically lost his life on October 16, 2020. On that fateful night, Christian was dining at the Nuevo Vallarta restaurant on South Capitol Avenue when an altercation broke out between two groups in the outdoor dining area. The confrontation quickly escalated into a violent exchange of gunfire. Christian, along with another individual named Jose Ballesteros Varela, was fatally shot, while four others sustained injuries.
