Jefferson Anthony Davis, a 30-year-old male from Anaheim, California, was fatally shot on April 15, 2021. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of West Glenoaks Avenue at approximately 11:30 PM. When Anaheim police officers arrived at the scene, they found Davis suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
Following an investigation, authorities identified
20-year-old Richard Flores of Anaheim as a suspect in the shooting. Flores was located in Fullerton, where officers initially attempted to apprehend him. However, he was later found in the 600 block of South Brookhurst Road and taken into custody without incident. The investigation confirmed Flores as the suspect in Davis’s death. He was subsequently charged with murder and booked into the Anaheim Detention Facility, with bail set at $1 million.
While the motive behind the killing remains undisclosed, police have stated that they do not believe the incident was gang-related. Detectives have declined to discuss details regarding other possible motives or the evidence that led to Flores’s identification as a suspect. The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding Davis’s death.
