Mayra Barajas, a 40-year-old woman from Fresno, California, tragically lost her life on January 8, 2022. Her death marked the first homicide of the year in Fresno. Barajas was found unresponsive on the side of the road near Olive and Marks Avenues around 2:30 a.m. by a Fresno County sheriff's deputy who was on patrol.
