On July 1, 2023, at approximately 1:22 p.m., Fresno Police Department officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 4900 block of East Balch Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Anissia Martinez suffering from a single gunshot wound. She was promptly transported to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
