On January 15, 2012, a tragic incident occurred in Fresno, California, resulting in the death of 17-month-old Aliyah Alessandra Echeverria. The young child was one of the victims in a horrific shooting carried out by her mother, Aide Mendez. Mendez, who had been on a methamphetamine binge for several days, fatally shot her two children, Aliyah and her three-year-old brother Isaiah, as well as her cousin Paul Medina.
