Vidal "Max" Fortuna, a 47-year-old fire captain from Stockton, California, tragically lost his life on January 31, 2022. Captain Fortuna was responding to a fire in the early morning hours when he was shot. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
