Jose Novoa Vargas, a 17-year-old from Stockton, California, tragically lost his life on January 26, 2015. The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office identified him as Jose Novoa, but he was known to friends and teachers as Jose Vargas. His death deeply affected the local community, particularly his peers and educators, who remembered him fondly.
