Gene Ransom, a celebrated former basketball player for the University of California, Berkeley, tragically lost his life on February 4, 2022, at the age of 65. Ransom was fatally shot while driving on Interstate 880 in Oakland, California. The incident occurred around 5:08 PM, and it was later determined to be a case of road rage.
