Edward McGowan, a 17-year-old resident of Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on May 19, 2015, in a fatal shooting incident. The incident occurred in East Oakland, specifically in the 7500 block of Garfield Avenue. McGowan was a passenger in a parked SUV when a dispute erupted inside the vehicle around 6:45 p.m. The altercation quickly escalated, leading to gunfire.
