On July 1, 2024, at approximately 12:45 a.m., 52-year-old Dane Smith was found near his mobile home in the 8400 block of Enterprise Way in Oakland, California. He had sustained both a gunshot and an apparent stab wound. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
