Feliciano Martinez Perea, an 18-year-old farmworker from Watsonville, California, tragically lost his life on April 2, 2022. The incident occurred around 8:45 PM at a two-story apartment complex on Riverside Drive. Martinez Perea was shot multiple times and was subsequently transported to an out-of-county trauma center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The shooting marked the first homicide in Santa Cruz County for the year 2022.
