In the early morning hours of June 25, 2014, the vibrant sounds of Frenchmen Street in New Orleans were tragically pierced by gunfire. Julius Dunn, a 21-year-old male, was struck by a bullet in a drive-by shooting that occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. in the 500 block of the famed music corridor. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
