Milton James Pepper, a 14-year-old boy from Westernville, NY, tragically lost his life on January 1, 1969. Milton, affectionately known as Jamie, was a ninth-grade student at Staley Junior High School. He was born on December 23, 1954, in Rome, Oneida County, New York. His untimely death was the result of gunshot wounds sustained during a horrific mass shooting that took place at a family gathering in Westernville on New Year's Day.
