Carmen Wright Drayton, aged 25, tragically lost her life on December 30, 1974, in Olean, New York. She was one of the victims of a sniper shooting at Olean High School. Carmen was driving by the school when she was struck by a bullet fired by Anthony Barbaro, a 17-year-old high school senior.
