On a tragic Palm Sunday in 1984, a Brooklyn apartment that should have been filled with the sounds of a family gathering became a scene of unimaginable horror. Among the victims of what would come to be known as the 'Palm Sunday Massacre' was 20-year-old Carmen Perez. The brutal events of that day, April 15th, unfolded inside a residence at 1080 Liberty Avenue in East New York, where ten people, including eight children, were senselessly murdered.
