Ronald Fischetti, a 29-year-old male, was discovered murdered in his Howard Beach, Queens, apartment in the pre-dawn hours of June 10, 1981. His fiancée found him in the kitchen, where he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his back and head. At the time, Fischetti was an employee of Patty Testa Motor Car Service and was known to associate with individuals connected to organized crime.
