Geoffrey J. Breitkopf, a 40-year-old police officer with the Nassau County Police Department, tragically lost his life on March 12, 2011, in Massapequa Park, New York. Officer Breitkopf was accidentally shot and killed by a fellow officer from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department.
