Alexis Anderson, a 15-year-old girl from Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost her life on June 18, 2014. She was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound to the head just before midnight inside an apartment on 106th Street in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens. The police pronounced her dead at the scene. The investigation quickly led to the arrest of her boyfriend, Amin Abdullah, a 20-year-old resident of Queens. Abdullah was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
