Danny Russell, a 44-year-old man from Schenectady, NY, was tragically shot and killed on September 1, 2014. The incident occurred late at night on Catherine Street in the Vale neighborhood. Russell had been visiting Schenectady to celebrate a close childhood friend's daughter's birthday. After spending the day at Lake George, Russell returned to Schenectady and later went out for the evening.
