A trip to Schenectady, New York, to celebrate a close friend's daughter's eighth birthday ended in tragedy for a Brooklyn man. Danny Russell, a 44-year-old father of three, was fatally shot on a city street late on Labor Day in 2014. Russell had spent the day at Lake George with his childhood friend, Carlos Seebarran, and their families. After returning to Schenectady in the early evening, Russell later left the house.
