In the Morris Heights section of the Bronx, a dispute outside a deli on University Avenue escalated into a fatal encounter for Cesar Augustino Suero. On the afternoon of November 12, 2014, the 39-year-old male resident of Washington Heights was shot in the torso and leg. The incident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. Suero was quickly taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
