James J. Ellis, aged 44, died on March 21, 2015, in Clarendon, NY, following a dramatic and violent confrontation with law enforcement. The incident began in the early hours of the morning when deputies from the Orleans County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance call in the town of Shelby.
