In the spring of 2015, the Queens community of St. Albans was shaken by the brazen daylight murder of Jerwaine Gorman. On the afternoon of April 29th, the 34-year-old man was fatally shot while sitting in the passenger seat of his Mercedes-Benz. An unknown assailant approached the vehicle and fired a single shot, striking Gorman in the chest before quickly fleeing the scene. The woman who was in the driver's seat at the time was unharmed.
