In the summer of 2015, a wave of violence gripped the city of Poughkeepsie, New York, and in the midst of it, a young man's life was tragically cut short. On the evening of June 30th, 21-year-old Shameik Floyd was discovered lying on Mansion Street, the victim of a single gunshot wound to his head. He was a Black male whose time was cruelly stolen.
