Shameik Floyd, a 21-year-old resident of Poughkeepsie, New York, tragically lost his life on June 30, 2015. Floyd was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head on the 200 block of Mansion Street at approximately 9:40 p.m. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being discovered. His death was part of a series of violent incidents that shook the City of Poughkeepsie during that summer.
