Deborah Roman, a 44-year-old English teacher from Latham, NY, tragically lost her life on February 9, 2016, in a murder-suicide orchestrated by her husband, Israel Roman. Israel, a Colonie police officer, fatally shot Deborah and their 10-year-old son, Nathan, before setting their house on fire and turning the gun on himself.
