On what was supposed to be a day of celebration, her 38th birthday, Emily Carson's life was tragically cut short in a shocking act of violence on a street in Geneva, New York. A registered nurse in the emergency department at Geneva General Hospital and a mother of three, Ms. Carson was shot and killed on Sunday, February 21, 2016, in a murder-suicide perpetrated by a man with whom she had been in a relationship.
