In the quiet, gated community of Pelham Bay in the Bronx, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of 29-year-old Florida Lumi. On May 17, 2016, police responded to a call of an assault in progress at an apartment on Outlook Avenue. Inside, they made a grim discovery: the bodies of Lumi and her 39-year-old partner, Fred Rudaj. Both had suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the head and were pronounced dead at the scene.
