In the late summer of 2016, a violent encounter in a North Amityville, New York, home ended the life of 28-year-old Rashad Woolridge, a Black male. On the afternoon of August 16th, Suffolk County police responded to a call from a residence on Avon Drive and discovered Woolridge deceased from a gunshot wound.
