In the early morning hours of a cold January day, the community of North Amityville was shaken by an act of violence that claimed the life of one young man and injured another. Malik Abdullah, a 21-year-old male from the area, was fatally shot on Glenmalure Street. The incident, which also left another 21-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries, prompted an immediate and intensive investigation by the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad.
