On August 30, 2016, Shanley Johnson, a 42-year-old resident of Ilion, NY, was found dead inside a home on Otsego Street. The initial investigation by Ilion Police revealed that Johnson died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident occurred in the presence of several family members, including his 20-year-old daughter, Shai Johnson, who was also injured during the event.
