In the early evening of September 3, 2016, a resident of the Bronx, Lester McLeod, a 31-year-old Black male, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to his torso. The incident occurred outside of 15904 Harlem River Drive in Manhattan. Police responded to a 911 call around 6:23 p.m. and discovered McLeod unconscious and unresponsive. He was quickly transported to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
