In the early morning hours of December 30, 2016, a burst of gunfire shattered the late-night quiet outside a Bronx bodega. When the echoes faded, 27-year-old Kareem Moye was left lying on the pavement at the corner of East 170th Street and College Avenue in the Claremont Village section of the borough. He had been shot in the chest in what police believe was a targeted attack. The male victim was rushed to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
