In the brisk autumn of 2017, the life of 27-year-old Melquain Jatelle Anderson was violently cut short on a Brooklyn street. On the evening of October 25th, while waiting for a bus near the Farragut Houses, a place familiar to him, Anderson was gunned down in a senseless act of violence.
