Darell Kingsberry, a 35-year-old resident of Brooklyn, NY, was tragically shot and killed on the morning of August 15, 2015. The incident occurred on a sidewalk in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, specifically outside 165 Van Buren Street, near a Baptist Church. Kingsberry, who had been released from prison two years prior, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Despite being transported to Woodhull Hospital by emergency medical services, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
