Lowell Hawthorne, a 57-year-old Jamaican-born man, died on Saturday, December 2, 2017, in what was a profound shock to his family, friends, and the wider community who had come to see him as a remarkable success story. The founder and CEO of the popular Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill, Hawthorne's life came to a tragic end inside his Bronx factory.
