In the winter of 2018, the life of 18-year-old Niko Santana was tragically cut short in his family's home on Shonnard Street in Syracuse, New York. On the evening of February 7th, a gunshot pierced the calm, leaving the young man gravely wounded in his own bedroom. Rushed to SUNY Upstate University Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries later that same night. The incident, which unfolded shortly after 6 p.m., was not the result of a malicious act, but rather a devastating accident.
