Niko Santana, an 18-year-old from Syracuse, New York, tragically passed away on February 7, 2018. The incident occurred when Niko and his best friend, Dwight Murray, were handling a firearm they had purchased in poor working condition. While tinkering with the gun, it accidentally discharged, striking Niko in the chest. Despite being rushed to Upstate University Hospital for treatment, Niko succumbed to his injuries.
